United Kingdom
The Centre will celebrate its 14th anniversary of its foundation on 15th March 2002.

The Centre will send a representative to the Confederation of British Industry (CBI) National Conference in November 2002 to maintain its links with British industry and to forge new ones.

Brussels
The Centre will continue to liaise with the European Commission and European Parliament on corporate social responsibility (CSR) and environmental ethics/sustainable development from November 2001 onwards.

Spain
Spain will assume the Presidency of the European Union in January 2002 and Centre for Business & Public and Sector Ethics will continue to collaborate with Spanish companies during Spain's Presidency.

China
The Centre has accepted an invitation from the Director General of a Research Institute of the Government of the People's Republic of China to visit Beijing in 2002 to discuss 'Ethics in Government' and to engage in joint research.

India
The Centre's Director is considering an invitation to spend 2 weeks as Visiting Professor of Ethics at an Indian University during 2003.

Funds from business corporations and other bodies are sought for joint research projects on 'Environmental Sustainability in India', and 'Ethics in Government and Anti-Corruption'.

South Africa
The Centre will be involved in the World Summit on the Environment in 2002 with South Africa and other nations.

International
The Centre values its links with the United Nations, the World Bank, OECD, and other international bodies, which have established policies in the fields of Business Ethics, Corporate Social Responsibility, Government Ethics, Anti-Corruption and Environmental Sustainability and will develop them further.

The Centre seeks to strengthen all these links and activities to further the aims of international relations and research as well as 'best practice' in business, government and the professions.
